Christmas Time!!

Quick Note:  You'll want to mute the music that usually plays when you're on my blog for this post.  Simply find the playlist on the right side and hit pause.  :)

As you have all probably noticed, Christmas is nearly upon us.  Tis a time of joy and cheer!  A time of Christmas music played on the radio more than anything else.  Truly, it's the best holiday.  Now, we all also know that Christmas means different things to everyone.  That being said, I find it appropriate that this be shared as an example:

Now back to the topic, many of us have Christmas traditions that we carry out with our family each year.  For example, my family does a very special Christmas Eve dinner wherein we eat foods that represent the different miracles that Christ performed during his time on earth.  We drink a Sparkling Cider Grape Juice something or other (represents the water turned to wine by Jesus).  We have Garlic Bread and Salmon (representing the feeding of the 5,000).  We have fresh fruits (the pineapple is cut into stars to represent Christ's Birth).  And many other scrumptious foods.

One thing I've really pushed for that seems to have worked so far, is to after our Christmas Eve Dinner, is to watch the Polar Express.  I really love the way it helps preserve what Christmas is all about and the magic that comes with believing in Santa.  Don't you remember being a kid and having a hard time going to sleep knowing that Santa was on the way?  Those were the longest nights of my life!

So as Christmas comes around this year, be sure to remember back to when you were little.  Let the magic of Christmas take hold again and enjoy it for everything it is.  In the words of Josh Groban:  Believe in what your Heart is Saying, Hear the Melody that's playing, there's no time to waste, there's so much to celebrate.  Believe in what you feel inside, and give your dreams the wings to fly.  You have everything you need....If you just believe.
